Return to Emergency Services
Case Management
Every day, hundreds of men, women and children come to City Rescue Mission for clothing, food and a temporary refuge from life on the streets. Our case managers meet with guests to help them understand the services offered at the Mission and to determine those services that are critical to their unique situations. Whether the need is for bus tokens to their place of work, clothes, hygiene items or medical and dental care, case managers guide our guests through the process.
Many of the homeless do not have proper identification such as a state I.D., a driver’s license or a birth certificate. Others need help with legal, medical and housing issues or simply an understanding person to talk with. Our case managers help each shelter guest wade through confusing paper work and government channels to obtain required identification, and apply for social security, housing, legal aid, Medicaid, food stamps and other assistance.
