Urgent Needs

Nursery Items for Our Little Ones

Families with children of all ages find safe, comfortable shelter at City Rescue Mission.  Currently, we have several infants and toddlers staying with us.  We urgently need to restock our supply of nursery items so we can make sure these little ones not only have their basic needs met, but also have the tools to progress towards healthy developmental milestones. Can you help?

Consider having a having a baby shower with your friends, women’s ministry, youth group or office in honor of the homeless infants and toddlers at City Rescue Mission. Click here to check out our registry.

Items can be dropped off at City Rescue Mission, 800 W. California Avenue in downtown Oklahoma City, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 pm.  Call ahead to schedule a tour so you can see firsthand the little faces you are blessing.

Bath Towels and Underwear

With more than 420 homeless men, women and children staying at the Mission each night, you can imagine our showers are always full.  That means we’re always in need of new white bath towels.

Another must have … underwear (all sizes).  We provide new underwear and clean clothing for all our guests and residents.

Medical Supplies

Health issues are a huge concern for homeless men, women and children.  Please help ease their suffering by collecting the following items that we can dispense from our free medical clinic at the Mission. Our biggest need, right now, is alcohol-free cold and flu medications.

• Cool mist humidifiers
• Nebulizers
• Pedialyte
• Ensure
• Alcohol-free cough medicine
• Alcohol-free decongestants
• Ibuprofen, acetaminophen, aspirin
• Mucinex or Guiafenesin
• Sinus and allergy medication
• Wheelchairs
• Antifungal foot spray, cream, powder
• Vitamins
• Nail clippers - toe & nail
• Lotion
• OTC Prilosec
• Carmex/lip balm
• Alcohol-free cough medicine
• Sinus and allergy Medication
• Nicotine patches or gum
• Sunscreen

New or gently used strollers

Homeless parents ache to provide their children with simple necessities. With other life-staining needs more pressing, strollers are a precious necessity often times out of reach. We are in need of new or gently used strollers.



Large-print Bibles

You can help the Mission spread the Good News of Jesus Christ when you collect large-print NLV or NIV Bibles for adults and children.



WANTED!  Plus-size Clothing

Homelessness is a daily struggle.  Often, it is difficult to meet basic needs, such as clothing.  Our resources of plus-size clothing are completely depleted.  Currently, we are in desperate need of women's clothing size XXXL.  Please help us collect the clothing items listed below.

• Shirts sizes XXL & up
• Women's pants sizes 18 & up
• Men's pants ALL sizes
• Underwear sizes 10 & up
• Men's Boxer sizes ALL sizes
• Bra sizes 40C & up
