Financial Summary
Our Principles of Giving
- City Rescue Mission belongs to God. Our staff is committed to pleasing God in every aspect of ministry. Apart from His approval, the Mission could not exist.
- The Mission is governed by a board of directors who ensure that all contributions are used honorably.
- We are a private organization funded by businesses, churches, foundations, civic groups and individuals led by God to help the homeless and poor. We choose not to receive government funding and are not a member of the United Way.
- We are an arm of the church. We act on behalf of Oklahoma City’s church community in ministry to the poor.
- We believe our supporters want to hear from us in times of plenty and in times of difficulty. We pledge to raise funds with integrity, communicating the Mission’s needs honestly and sensitively. We will never try to raise more money than we need.
- We believe Christians should support their local church first. We will never encourage believers to support the Mission until they first meet their obligations to their churches.
- We believe each gift comes from people who give sacrificially. We use all gifts conservatively and prayerfully. No one will become financially wealthy at City Rescue Mission. All donations are used for the purposes they are given.
- We promptly send receipts for all donations and pay for purchases within thirty days.
- We never sell or rent our donor mailing list.
